DISCON 2010

Message from PDG Arun Jain, RIPR

It is a great pleasure and singular privilege for Meena and me to extend our sincerest greetings and felicitations to our fellow Rotarians and their Rotary Anns on the occasion of this annual gathering of the Rotary family- the District Conference.

Limits are the invisible bonds that keep us cocooned and confined and thereby limit our freedom as well. Desires and attachments are the two key factors that keep us confined and put our freedom on leash. Excessive attachment to the worldly things keeps us bound in our thinking and behavior and as long our personality can't find its fullest expression and unfoldment.

Love and service to others are two things by which our mind can get purified and such a mind is the instruments through which we can gain flights in to higher regions of our true self in which limits of personality get toppled and we breathe in to the freedom of our true potentiality. Spirit of service arises from that disposition. Our limits will stand unleashed only when we expand ourselves and consider whole humanity as none other than our own self and service to others as our sole fulfillment. Service above self should be our guiding principle and motto.

My best wishes to the organizers and warmest greetings to the participants for a great conference.
