Role of Assistant Governors
The RI BOD has outlined a mandatory District Leadership Plan (RCP 17.030.1. through 17.030.6.) Which is required to be adopted and implemented by all districts.
The aim is to strengthen the district and the clubs by
i. Making faster and responsive support to clubs
ii. Larger supply of well trained district leaders
iii. Improved participation in TRF and district levels
iv. Be a challenge for the Dg as an innovative leader
Responsibilities of AGs
· Attend each club Assembly associated with DG’s OCV
· Keep DG informed of club progress
· Motivate clubs to implement district goals
· Coordinate training sessions with AT/GC/Club trainers
· Promote DLP/ CLP
· Attend and promote district events / assembly / conference
· Whenever invited attend club events
· Attend Prez meets / PrePETS / DTTS / PETS
· Be available 24/7/265 as a friend, philosopher and guide to the club in
General and the president in particular.
Criteria for AGs
· Active membership, in good standing, in a club for atleast 3 years
· Service to the club as president for a full term
· Willing to serve and having abilities for the responsibilities of AG
· Demonstrated performance in the district
· Potential for future leadership (RCP17.030.2.)
